Hot and dry weather is likely to continue this week in Jammu and Kashmir, the MeT office said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The maximum temperatures over many parts of Kashmir division are likely to range between 30-32\u00b0C and 38-40\u00b0C over the plains of Jammu, the MeT office said, adding the hot and dry weather is likely to continue till June 23.<\/p>\n
It said, the weather will mainly remain dry, but a brief spell of shower or thunderstorm at one or two places towards late afternoon or evening can\u2019t be ruled out during June 20-23.<\/p>\n
Generally cloudy with intermittent light to moderate thundershower at scattered to fairly widespread places during June 24-28, the MeT office added.<\/p>\n
Srinagar recorded a low of 18.2 degree Celsius on Tuesday against 16.9 degree Celsius the previous night and it was 2.4 degree Celsius above normal for the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n
The maximum temperature was also 3.3 degree Celsius above normal of 28.4 degree Celsius on Tuesday, the MeT office said.<\/p>\n
Qazigund, on Srinagar-Jammu national highway, recorded a low of 16.2\u00b0C against 15.2\u00b0C on the previous night and it was above normal by 1.9\u00b0C for the gateway town of Kashmir.<\/p>\n
Pahalgam, had a low of 9.1\u00b0C against 9.6\u00b0C on the previous night and it was 0.5\u00b0C above normal for the famous tourist resort in south Kashmir.<\/p>\n
Kupwara settled at 14.1\u00b0C against 13.2\u00b0C on the previous night and it was above normal by 1.3\u00b0C for the north Kashmir district.<\/p>\n
Kokernag recorded a low of 15.4\u00b0C against 16.1\u00b0C on the previous night and it was 1.4\u00b0C above normal for the picnic spot of south Kashmir.<\/p>\n
Gulmarg recorded a low of 10.2\u00b0C against 10.5\u00b0C last night and it was above normal by 1.8\u00b0C for the world-famous skiing resort in north Kashmir, the MeT office further added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
