Three held for illegal hoarding, sale of diesel

Samba : Three persons have been arrested by police for their alleged involvement in illegal hoarding and sale of diesel in Samba District.

A police spokesperson said that Kapil Kumar of Mangu Chak, Samba; Pawan Kumar of Kotli Gujjran Gurdaspur (Punjab), and Ritikh Kumar of Chak Manga, Rakwal, Samba have been arrested.

He said the accused have been booked in case FIR number 24/2024 under the relevant sections of the law registered at Police Station Samba and further investigation undertaken.

According to the police spokesperson, the accused, Kapil Kumar, who runs a tyre puncture repair shop near Duggar Haveli, Nanke Chak, Samba, had been selling the diesel illegally from his temporary kiosk for the past six months.

He was caught red-handed along with two other persons, by a team of police in presence of Executive Magistrate First Class Samba, while selling the oil illegally, he said.

A truck used for hoarding the oil has also been seized from the spot, he added.
